Post 3 - Vocabulary, 1 of 4

1. Word / Phrase: juvenile
Meaning: young; of the youthful
Context: There are three main sections in the library. They are adult, young adult and juvenile.


2. Word / Phrase: Dewey decimal system
Meaning: using numbers and letters, coordinates materials on the same subject and on related subjects to make items easier to find on the shelves
Context: I use dewey decimal system while organizing the non-fiction books.


3. Word / Phrase: to shelve
Meaning: put on a shelf
Context: Everyday, I have the same work, which is to shelve the books.


4. Word / Phrase: stuff
Meaning: all the people employed by a particular organization
Context: The kids are not allowed in staff members' area.


5. Word / Phrase: renew
Meaning: be allowed to keep a library book for a longer period of time
Context: I renewed the library books before they were overdue, so I could continue reading the books.

    1. Since you intern at school and your internship teachs you all words about computer, of course these words does not look from English language!! And thanks!

    2. You are very observant I didn't know stuff could be used in that context, good job. I bet when your supervisor is talking you take out your pen out and start writing the words down. I am not jealous or anything I just wish I did that too, You know. The first word is weird are you sure you copied it down right ha ha ha :(
